We’re proud to share that Bart Grzegorowski, Head of Forensics at Trustify, has received an official commendation for his exceptional work in one of the UK’s recent cyber crime investigations.
Before joining Trustify, Bart served in the Metropolitan Police’s Cyber Crime Unit, where he played a key role in the takedown of a covert pharmaceutical operation that saw three individuals jailed for a combined 24 years.
The investigation uncovered a secret lab in Acton, run under the guise of a logistics company, where counterfeit sedatives such as Xanax and diazepam were being mass-produced and sold via the dark web. Payments were received in cryptocurrency and laundered into an estimated £2 million in illicit gains.
Thanks to the efforts of the Cyber Crime Unit and the expertise of specialists like Bart, the operation not only led to multiple convictions but also triggered changes to UK drug legislation, marking the first seizure of specific synthetic chemicals now banned under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
This commendation reflects the level of expertise Bart brings to our team, and we’re proud to have such a skilled and experienced professional helping to lead our forensic and cybersecurity operations at Trustify.
